2018 Budget

The Australian Government will invest more than $75 billion in nationally significant transport infrastructure projects over the next 10 years. This investment will tackle congestion in our cities, move freight efficiently to our ports and markets, better connect our regions to services and create thousands of new local jobs.

National Pipeline of major projects and initiatives

The Australian Government has committed to a credible, decade-long Pipeline of infrastructure projects focused on driving economic growth, increasing productivity and connectivity, and creating new employment opportunities.

The Pipeline includes around 40 new major transport projects and initiatives that will address the needs of our regional areas and major cities. This long term Pipeline of nationally significant investments demonstrates the Government’s commitment to support industry, grow jobs and deliver economic prosperity.
