Bridges Renewal Programme
The Australian Government has committed $360 million over five years to 2019-20 to the Bridges Renewal Programme.
The Programme upgrades and repairs bridges to enhance access for local communities and facilitate higher productivity vehicle access.
Round Three opened 17 March 2017
The Minister for Infrastructure and Transport, the Hon Darren Chester MP has announced that Round Three of the Bridges Renewal Programme will be open to accept proposals from 17 March 2017 to 15 May 2017. Round Three will be open to state, territory and local governments.
The Australian Government will contribute up to 50 per cent of the total project cost to successful projects. Projects are selected through a competitive, merit-based process. Proponents are encouraged to consult with industry and community more broadly on their projects to ensure industry priorities and community views are considered in the development of proposals. There is a $5 million Australian Government contribution limit per proposal.
Payments for all successful projects are made through National Partnership Agreements to state and territory governments.

Round Three proposals must be received by 11:59pm local time on 15 May 2017 (note local time refers to the proponent’s local time).
Proponents are strongly encouraged to submit proposals in advance of the deadline.
The Department will confirm receipt for each proposal submitted by 26 May 2017 via a return email. If you do not receive a receipt for your submission, please contact the Department on 02 6274 8040 immediately.

From 17 March 2017 download the:

Supporting documentation can be attached to the submission email. Attachments to your proposal can be in any format, but PDF is preferred.
Emails are limited in size to 10MB and will not be accepted through the Department’s email gateway if they exceed that size. No Information Technology or Programme support will be available after 4.30 pm AEST on the closing date, so please ensure that you submit your proposal early to receive support if required.
All proposals must be submitted via email to the BRP inbox firstname.lastname@example.org by the closing date and time. Only in exceptional circumstances will other arrangements be considered. Requests for separate arrangements should be submitted in writing prior to the close of the proposal period. The Department’s decision will be final.
In January 2016, the Australian Government announced the successful Round Two proposals.
