Investment Road and Rail Programme

The Investment Road and Rail Programme targets land transport projects that will deliver the highest benefits to the nation. When completed, these projects will significantly improve the efficiency and safety of land transport infrastructure in Australia.

National Partnership Agreement

The Australian Government entered into a new National Partnership Agreement with New South Wales, Victoria, Queensland, Western Australia, South Australia, Tasmania, Northern Territory and the Australian Capital Territory in October 2014. The state schedules attached to the National Partnership Agreement were updated after the 2015 Budget for New South Wales, Victoria, Western Australia, Tasmania, Northern Territory and the Australian Capital Territory. The revised 2015 Budget state schedules for Queensland and South Australia are still to be finalised.

As part of the 2016 Budget the Australian Government is negotiating an updated schedule with the states and territories. These will be made available once agreed

Notes on Administration

The Notes on Administration for Land Transport Infrastructure Projects 2014-15 to 2018-19 provide administrative guidance for managing projects to be funded under the National Partnership Agreement.
