This project involved a major upgrade of the Calliope Crossroads intersection on the Bruce Highway over the Dawson Highway, near Gladstone.
The project aims to increase the safety of traffic by eliminating conflict points, reduce travel time for freight and travellers and improve productivity and linkages between the nearby mining enterprises, Gladstone Ports and industrial regions to the north and south.
The Australian Government provided $85,325,060 to the project.
Construction commenced in August 2012 and was completed in May 2014.
