The project consists of the construction of a high level concrete bridge over the Bloomfield River and upgrading of the bridge approaches.
The project will improve safety, provide greater flood immunity and require less ongoing maintenance, facilitating improvements to the health and social well-being of the Wujal Wujal Community.
The Australian Government is providing $2.75 million towards this project, in partnership with the Queensland Government.
Construction commenced in September 2013 and was completed in late 2014.
