Project Description

The project involved the replacement of a low level timber bridge at Nettle Creek with a higher concrete structure and reconstruction and widening of sections near Millstream on the Kennedy Highway.


The project improved safety, efficiency and flood immunity on the Kennedy Highway.


The Australian Government committed $10.5 million towards the project.


Construction commenced on the new Nettle Creek Bridge in May 2014 and construction of the Kennedy Highway Project was completedĀ lateĀ 2015.
