This section of road is low lying and requires forming and sheeting to get above natural surface level. The existing road material is marginal and turns to bulldust in summer and becomes very slippery after moderate rainfall.
The work will involve forming the existing track and importing crushed rock to sheet this 4km section. The road formation will be 11 metres wide with a carriageway width of 9 metres.
