The project involves the duplication of approximately 10.4 kilometres of Tiger Brennan Drive from Dinah Beach Road to Berrimah Road and upgrades to six intersections.
The upgrade will increase capacity and reduce congestion to provide consistent driving conditions on Tiger Brennan Drive.
The Australian Government is contributing up to $70 million towards the upgrade in partnership with the Northern Territory Government.
Construction commenced on the first section in July 2013, with the road opening to traffic in mid-2016. Minor finishing works are on-going and due to be completed in early-2017.
