This is one of the 15 projects being delivered as part of the Australian Government's $508 million commitment to the Warrego Highway - Toowoomba to Miles - Upgrade Programme.
The duplication of the Warrego Highway between Nugents Pinch Road and Leeson Road including improvements to key intersections.
The project will increase transport efficiency and productivity through improved travel time reliability and safety on this section of the Warrego Highway by providing separation between opposing traffic streams, improving intersections between the local, state and national road networks, and through provision of slip lanes to provide safe turning opportunities.
The Australian Government is providing up to $85.1 million to the project in partnership with the Queensland Government.
Construction commenced in early 2015 and was completed in July 2016.
