Project DescriptionThe subject section of Somers Road has reached the end of its serviceable life and is severely cracked and failing under modern traffic loads. Additionally, the existing seal width of approximately 5.4 metres is inadequate for the traffic it carries. Longitudinal drainage is also inadequate in a low lying wet area.
Widening and lifting of the road structure to lift it out of the wet subgrade. Improvements to longitudinal drainage. Importation of new pavement material and application of a hot bitumen seal to a minimum width of 6.4 metres.
Total cost of proposed project is $242,000 |
