The road surface is rough and uneven. This affects the trafficability and safety of the road which is a haulage route for grain trucks.
The section of road will be reconstructed for a total length of 1100m. The existing surface will be ripped and crushed and pavement material added to give an overall pavement width of 4.8m. The surface will be prepared and sealed with bitumen for a width of 3.7m.
A final wearing sealed surface will be applied in March 2016 on the road for a total length of 1100m and a width of 3.7m.
