The road is single lane, narrow, has poor verticle alignment and provision for active transport users is limited. Traffic demand along the route is expected to increase in fuutre years due to urbanisation of the region. The upgrade will improve road safety and cater for furue increases in traffic volumes.
Stage 3 works comprise upgrading the road to a 4 lane urban standard from Darlington Drive to Peachy Road. The project is being constructed over 3 years and will be completed in 2014/15.
Total cost of proposed project is $23,400,000
