The project completed a planning study for the realignment of the South Gippsland Highway between the Koonwarra Township (Old Koonwarra – Meeniyan Road) and Minns Road.
The planning study involved updating the state of readiness of the previous planning study and development of a business case for consideration of future funding for the construction of the highway realignment.
The Australian Government committed $157,500 to this project.
The planning study commenced 1 July 2014 and was completed with the submission of the Business Case on 16 November 2016.
