Project Description

This project involved the upgrade of the existing arterial road network and Long Street to provide a heavy vehicle bypass of the Leongatha town centre in south east Victoria.

Benefits

The project will improve road safety, amenity and commercial opportunities in the Leongatha CBD by providing an alternate route to redirect through traffic and in particular heavy vehicles.

Funding

The Australian Government has committed $4,665,000 to this project.

Timetable

The project commenced 15 February 2016 and construction was completed 4 November 2016. Minor works are ongoing.
