Project Description

This is one of the 15 projects being delivered as part of the Australian Government's $508 million commitment to the Warrego Highway - Toowoomba to Miles - Upgrade Programme.

The project involves duplication of 3.5km section from two to four lanes between the Moonie Highway intersection and the Condamine St and Watt St intersection in Dalby. The project scope comprises safety works and intersection upgrades including signalisation of the Dalby-Jandawae Road and the Black St intersection, as well as pavement strenghtening.

The project will improve safety and capacity at this location, on the Warrego Highway.

Strengthening works will allow the pavement to withstand a predicted increase in heavy vehicle usage.

The Australian Government is providing up to $47,200,000 to the project in partnership with the Queensland Government.

Construction is expected to commence mid 2017 and be complete by late 2018.
