This is one of the 15 projects being delivered as part of the Australian Government's $508 million commitment to the Warrego Highway - Toowoomba to Miles - Upgrade Programme.
This project involves construction of eight overtaking lanes, both east and westbound, at four locations between Oakey and Dalby.
The project will allow for safer overtaking movements, resulting in lower accident rates, time spent in congestions, and an increase in transport efficiency at this location on the Warrego Highway.
The Australian Government is providing up to $35.2 million to the project in partnership with the Queensland Government.
Construction commenced in late 2016 and is expected to be completed by late 2017.
