Gravel surface is worn, rough and unpredictable making it unsafe. Road contains several corners which have no superelevation and are a safety concern at speed. Road has been sealed up to the start of the work area and reconstruction of this section of road will prepare it for sealing in the future.
Design for road reconstruction of road to remove irregularities in road surface, include superelevation on bends and improve road safety. Design to include a gravel overlay and design for drainage to provide access to road in all weather conditions.
Construction is proposed for the 2015/16 Roads to Recovery Program.
