The project will include strengthening and widening of around 15 kilometres of rough and narrow pavement on the Landsborough Highway between Morven and Kynuna.
The project will assist in increasing safety, reducing vehicle operating and maintenance costs and improving travel times for road users.
The Australian Government has committed up to $10 million towards the project, in partnership with the Queensland Government.
Construction commenced March 2017 with works being delivered through to early 2018.
