Project DescriptionThe kerb and water table on both sides of Norman Street are in very poor condition. The kerbing is displaced both vertically and horizontally due to soil movement and tree growth.. The road pavement is significantly deformed due to the reactive sub-grades in the area. Norman Street is 540 meters in length and classified as a “Local” road with a vehicle traffic volume of 400 vehicles per day.
It is proposed to replace all of the kerbing on both sides of Norman Street. The kerb replacement will be followed by the removal of the road seal and pavement. The road will be replaced with a 70mm Asphalt pavement followed with 30mm Asphalt seal. |
