The project will strengthen seven bridges on the Goulburn Valley Highway from Shepparton to Tocumwal.
The project will increase the load capacity of bridges on the Goulburn Valley Highway from 68 tonnes to 113 tonnes. This will increase capacity, reduce operating costs and providing greater flexibility for heavy vehicles operators.
The estimated cost of the project is $4.2 million. The Australian Government is contributing $3.36 million and the Victorian Government $840,000.
Construction commenced in July 2017 and was completed in October 2017.
