Project DescriptionThe Kintore Access Road has been formed to a rural type cross section with sections that have been eroded below natural ground level. The Road is very loose and corrugated with at least 50% of the road requiring formation works to bring the road crown up to natural level. There is no evidence of any gravel pavement construction. There are washouts, scouring in the section due to poor drainage.
For Sections below natural ground level, grading and light watering and compaction, construct new 7m wide 150mm thick subgrade layer and compact. Construct new 7m wide 150mm thick gravel base and compact.
For Sections above natural surface level, Prepare existing formation,compact to produce 7m wide 150mm thick subgrade surface. Construct new 7m wide 150mm thick gravel base and compact.
Boxing out and Construct two floodways with 300mm gravel base, Reinstate existing offlet drains and blocks, Construct additional 20 offlet drains and blocks, construct levee banks for the two floodways. |
