The project will rehabilitate approximately 700 metres of pavement on Old Dookie Road between Mitchell Street and Doyles Road in Shepparton. The project will also remove the existing roundabout and signalise the intersection at New Dookie Road and Verney Road in Shepparton.
The project is expected to improve safety and heavy vehicle productivity, reduce traffic congestion and improve local amenity.
The estimated cost of the project is $3,894,787. The Australian Government is contributing $2,250,000 and Greater Shepparton City Council $1,644,787.
Construction commenced on 3 April 2017 and is expected to be completed in mid 2019.
