Higham Street is an Urban Access 1 road where the existing sealed road pavement, which is 320 metres long by 10 metres wide between kerbs, has failed. The road surface is rutted and heaved and has deteriorated along with the kerb.
The existing pavement is to be removed between the existing kerbs and replaced with a new deeper pavement and the road surface bitumen sealed to provide a level safe surface in the urban environment. Kerb renewal works will be undertaken and the total road pavement between kerbs will be reduced to 8 metres width.
Total cost of proposed project is $250,000
