Project Description

The existing 5.5m wide gravel road is too narrow for the number of vehicles now using the section of Sluice Creek Road. The existing road pavement is also substandard and is showing signs of deterioration from heavy use by commercial vehicles.

The proposed works include the widening of the existing 5.5m wide gravel road to 8m wide bitumen seal road, to allow the safe passing of commercial vehicles and the reconstruction of the road pavement to improve it's load bearing capacity.
