Project Description

The Calvert road is extensively used by the heavy vehicles in the support of pastoral proprieties, mining and aboriginal communities and is used as an alternative route to Queensland. Narrow 4.5 metre pavement is dangerous to road trains that are using the road for cattle, fuel and general goods transport for stations. Several complaints have been raised by station owners and managers about the narrow pavement. The widening of the pavement will reduce risk of an accident.

Widening of the pavement by 2 metres both sides.
