Existing infrastructure is in poor condition with poor pavement strength, non compliant road crossfalls, steep footpath crossfalls that are not disabled accessible and have a history of causing pedestrian trips and falls through the poor condition of the footpaths. Existing traffic facilities have a known crash history including a fatality, and are being upgraded as part of the overall renewal works.
Works include road and footpath pavement renewals, kerb replacements, traffic facilities, street lighting upgrades and associated works. Works are targeted to improve road safety, reduce pedestrian crashes, widen footpaths within the Camden CBD to support the town centre and undertake asset renewal.
Total cost of proposed project is $5,950,000
