The proposed section has the following defects: extensive ravelling, oxidation and weathering of
the asphalt surface and cracking in some areas. The surface has moderate failures (for example,
potholes and patches).
Asphalt Resurfacing: Profile edges to key-in with the concrete kerb and channel; Waterproofing and
crack alleviation bitumen sprayed seal; and 30mm thick Dense Graded Asphalt Overlay (using size
10mm nominal aggregate).
