The existing condition of the road has been rated as very poor. Based on road condition and the existing width of the sealed road being inadequate for the traffic volumes the above section of Branch Creek Road has been scheduled for reconstruction and widening.
Reconstructing a rural collector road to Councils current standards from chainage 2900m to 927.68m. Taking the road from a substandard 5.5m bitumen seal road with a condition rating of 8 out of 10 to a 6m wide bitumen seal with a 8 m formation and 8m wide bitumen seal in the floodways.
Total cost of proposed project is $558,069
