Existing bridge deck and sub-structure is deteriorating and nearing the end of its useful life.
The increasing traffic volumes and mass have resulted in increased maintenance requirements on the deck.
As a timber structure the bridge is not designed to carry B-Doubles and many of the newer heavy vehicles.
Inspect and repair the existing concrete abbutments.
Replace the existing timber beams with steel beams.
Replace the existing timber deck with precast condrete pannels.
Adjust the road at both approaches to meet the new deck height.
Replace/install required signage.
Total cost of proposed project is $160,000
