This road is listed as a safety issue under the Blackspot Safety Upgrade Program with a history of accidents occurring due to loose gravel surface, corrugations and surface deformations, poor visibility at intersections and curves due to dust, vegetation and irrigation supply channel and drainage constraints.
Reconstruct and seal Combe Road to a width of 6.0m with 1.0m sealed shoulders. The works include realignment and improvement of superelevation at curves and intersections, relocation of utilities, reshape table drains, installation of culverts and reduced speed signage, vegetation trimming and/or removal.
Total cost of proposed project is $652,711
