Project Description

Price Avenue has a total length of 1.3 kilometres from Wattlebury Avenue, Lower Mitcham to Springbank Road, Clapham. The segment of Price Avenue identified for rehabilitation within the scope of this project is between The Grove and Kinross Avenue. This section of road seal was rehabilitated with a sprayed bitumen and aggregate surface in 2004 and is now showing signs of distress with significant failed areas. The road surface is also deforming indicating a weak pavement structure. This segment of Price Avenue is 115 meters in length, with a width of 13 meters. The road has dedicated parking lanes and bicycle lanes. Price Avenue is a local collector road with a vehicle traffic volume of 2,425 vehicles per day.

It is proposed to replace the road seal and pavement with a deep lift asphalt pavement followed by a 40mm Asphalt seal. Some kerb renewal will be included in the project.
