Fine flexural cracking of u-slabs. Post spacing too large and rail is too high. Damage at 2 locations. Guard fence is too short and terminated incorrectly, also too few posts. Asphalt seal does not extend to kerbs. Settlement of approaches treated with ramped asphalt, repair is poor quality giving uneven surface. Loss of fill beneath abutment cross head due to insufficient batter protection.
Carry out risk assessment to determine if compliant barrier is required. Extend asphalt layer. Raise bridge approaches. Install additional batter protection.
