Project Description

The unsealed pavement has suffered severe deterioration through poor drainage combined with inadequate base course that is clay based. The slippery, corrugated surface is an unsafe carriageway.

It is proposed to sheet the pavement with new roadbase to a depth of 200mm, waterbind and roll to achieve a 6 metre wide carriageway and also to construct spoon drains to improve drainage.
