The Maroochydore Road Interchange Upgrade project will upgrade the section of the Bruce Highway between the Sunshine Motorway and the Maroochydore Road Interchange, and will include upgrade works at the Maroochydore Road and Mons Road Interchanges.
When complete, the project will address a number of capacity, traffic congestion and safety issues along this stretch of the Bruce Highway.
The Australian Government has committed up to $149.6 million towards the project, in partnership with the Queensland Government.
Initial planning works for the project are expected to commence in late 2016 and be completed by late 2017.
