The existing bridge condition has been assessed as very poor due to rotting, termite activity, and failure of multiple components throughout. The existing bridge is currently load limited to 5t and is 3.7m width, insufficient for use by the volume and composition of traffic recorded for this road segment.
The works proposed include the replacement of the existing bridge with a modern concrete bridge, or equivalent, capable of transporting modern size vehicles of increased load and width than that catered to by the existing structure.
Total cost of proposed project is $2,027,000
