The current roundabout is insufficient to meet the needs of the traffic flow to and from the Bruce Highway interchange causing traffic delays, queues and congestion.
There is an opportunity to deliver intersection improvements to coincide with TMR's Boundary Road Interchange project on the Bruce Highway. The interchange and Old Gympie Road/Boundary Road intersection will provide traffic efficiency, reduce congestion and enhance safety for all users if delivered simultaneously. The objective of the project is to improve safety for all users, increase traffic capacity and reduce traffic delays
Total cost of proposed project is $6,000,000
