To improve efficiency and safety in this area for all road users. Existing deficiencies on the road network include high levels of congestion associated with closely spaced intersections and accesses. The existing Patricks Road and Dawson Parade signals are operating over capacity in the peak travel periods. The safety of pedestrians is also compromised due to congestion, queuing and u-turning.
The expected outcome of the project is to maximise available road space, reduce the number of turning movements to/from property accesses and provide enhanced facilities for pedestrians, cyclists and buses. The proposals intend to improve traffic flow through the area and improve safety for all users. The project scope includes an upgrade to the Dawson Parade and Patricks Road intersection through a reallocation of the existing lanes on Dawson Parade.
Total cost of proposed project is $1,100,000
