Upgrade the existing single lane Cove Hill bridge to provide a refurbished two lane bridge over the Jorden River.
The benefits of this project will be improved safety, increased load capacity for the refurbished bridge, improved freight efficiency and reduced maintenance costs.
The estimated cost of the project is $1.6 million. The Australian Government is contributing $800,000 and the Brighton Council $800,000.
Construction commenced on 1 May 2017 and was completed in January 2018.
