Project Description

The project replaced the existing timber bridge over Saltwater River with a new single lane bridge deck and guard rails, using the existing concrete abutments.


The project improved safety, increased load capacity, improved freight efficiency and reduced maintenance costs.


The total cost of the project was $160,250. The Australian Government committed $100,000 to this project.


Construction commenced in April 2017 and was completed in July 2017.
