This project is expected to deliver the following benefits:
- ease congestion and improve access to the Darwin CBD;
- consistent and reliable travel times; and
- improved road infrastructure around Darwin CBD helps in attracting tourism and business and the flow on effects on business sustainability
The Australian Government will provide up to $29.50 million subject to the Northern Territory and Darwin City Council providing $5 million each.
Construction is expected to commence in early-2018, and is expected to be completed in mid-2020.
