This is a key intersection on Council's heavy vehicle freight route that is unsuitable for heavy vehicles. This heavily impacts the surface and pavement of the intersection, reducing its useful life and contributes to a reduction in safety.
Southbound lane widening on Stockwell Road - 123 metres at a width of 3 metres at its widest point and tapered to join the southbound lane.
Pavement reconstruction and strengthening of southbound lane.
Surfacing 58 metres of Southbound lane widening on Stockwell Road utilising 60mm AC10 at a width of 3 metres and tapered to join the southbound lane.
Surfacing 65 metres of Southbound lane widening on Stockwell Road utilising 40mm AC10 at a width of 3 metres and tapered to join the southbound lane.
Addition of a turning lane from Stockwell Road into Carrara Hill Road
Pavement construction and strengthening for the turning lane.
Surfacing 77 metres of turning lane from northbound on Stockwell Road into westbound on Carra Hill Road - utilising 60mm AC10 at a width of 4 metres and tapered to join Carrara Hill Road Westbound.
Surfacing 32 metres of turning lane northbound on Stockwell Road - utilising 40mm AC10 at a width of 3 metres and tapered to join the northbound lane.
Resurfacing 60 metres of Stockwell Road utilising 60mm AC10 at a width of 7 metres
Resurfacing 95 metres of Stockwell Road utilising 40mm AC10 at a width of 7 metres
Resurfacing 48 metres of Carrara Hill Road utilising 60mm AC10 at a width of 8 metres.
To improve safety and increase the life of the pavement and surface.
Total cost of proposed project is $514,000
