Project Description

The project will upgrade Canterbury Road between Dorset Road and Montrose Road.  The project will remove the existing roundabout and install traffic signals at the intersection of Canterbury Road, Montrose Road and Mount Dandenong Tourist Drive, and construct a new lane on Canterbury Road between Dorset Road and Montrose Road in the outbound direction.


The project is expected to improve safety and efficiency for all road users and support economic growth in the region.


The estimated cost of the project is $20 million.  The Australian Government contribution is capped at $20 million.


The Victorian Government is currently developing the project timetable.
