Project Description

The project will construct a diamond interchange connecting O'Herns Road to the Hume Freeway. The project will also duplicate 1.4km of O'Herns Road between O'Herns Road and Cooper Street and signalise the roundabout at the intersection of Epping Road, Findon Road, High Street and O'Herns Road.

Benefits

The project is expected to increase capacity, reduce travel times and improve safety.

Funding

The estimated cost of the project is $81 million. The Australian Government is contributing $25.8 million and the Victorian Government $55.2 million.

Timetable

Construction commenced on 15 December 2017 and is expected to be complete in mid 2020.
