The project will upgrade Forrest Apollo Bay Road between the Great Ocean Road and the Princes Highway in south west Melbourne. The project will provide for the design and construction of a range of improvement works including slow vehicle turnouts, shoulder sealing and barrier installation.
The project is expected to improve driver safety and travel times.
The estimated cost of the project is $10 million. The Australian and Victorian governments are each contributing $5 million.
The project is expected to commence in early 2018 and be completed in early 2020.
