The proposed section has the following defects: extensive cracking including fatigue/crocodile cracking and longitudinal cracks, deep depressions along the length of the road in the wheel paths. The existing asphalt surface is old, oxidised and brittle. There are major surface failures and moderate pavement failures.
Pavement rehabilitation consisting of in situ stabilising the existing pavement or a full depth reconstruction of the road pavement. Either treatments has a size 14mm 50mm thick dense graded asphalt surface.
Total cost of proposed project is $526,000
