There is poor vertical (and some horizontal) geometry, which reduces the sight distances and compromises safety. There is also insufficient pavement depths to sustain cane haulage and other traffic generated by primary producers.
The project provides for full reconstruction of approximately 875m of pavement. Works will include clearing of existing vegetation, earthworks, pavement reconstruction, table drain protection works, subsoil drainage, drainage pipes and structures, property access improvement, bitumen sealing, line marking and road furniture.
Total cost of proposed project is $1,432,646
