Project Description

This segment of roadway has been burdened by significant sub soil water problems over the years. The driving surface is cracked and fine roadbase material appears on the surface of the roadway even in dry weather. The road is a heavily trafficed section of the town and runs parallel to a popular beach area.

Design and construct an effective sub soil drain to alleviate the water problem. Remove the old saturated roadbase and clay to a depth of 100mm and replace with 2 50mm layers of AC14HD. Length: 245m, Width: 12m, Area: 2940.
