The project involves construction of a grade-separated interchange at the intersection of Wanneroo Road and Joondalup Drive.
The project is expected to improve connectivity and travel times for local business and community; improve safety for all road users; and support economic activity through provision of a more efficient road network.
The Australian Government has committed $32.65 million from the Infrastructure Investment Program and $7.35 million from the GST revenue shortfall in 2016-17, for a total $40 million contribution towards the $50 million project.
The project is in planning, with construction expected to commence in late 2018.
