Project Description

The project involves construction of a bridge over Kwinana Freeway connecting Armadale Road with North Lake Road, along with approach roads and freeway on/off ramps.

Benefits

This project is anticipated to provide a direct link between North Lake Road and Armadale Road; provide easier access to the Kwinana Freeway; improve access to and from Cockburn Central train station; and to support residential and commercial expansion in Cockburn and Armadale.

Funding

The Australian Government has committed $189.6 million towards the $237.0 million project.

Timetable

Construction of the northbound collector distributor roads component is anticipated to commence in mid-2018. Construction of the Armadale Road and North Lake Road Bridge component is anticipated to commence in late 2019.
