Project Description

This project involves the widening of, and targeted upgrades on, the Monaro Highway corridor in the ACT. The upgrade is expected to include the construction of additional lanes on the Monaro Highway and an upgrade of its intersection with Lanyon Drive.

Benefits

The project will reduce congestion and travel times and improve the reliability of the Monaro Highway corridor. The project will also increase the productivity of freight movements, particularly interstate freight moving between NSW and the ACT.

Funding

The Australian Government has committed $100 million to deliver this $200 million project.
